Raw Hojari Frankincense

Hojari frankincense is the highest grade of Omani frankincense (Boswellia Sacra), extracted from trees in the Dhofar mountains of southern Oman. In this collection, you will find raw tears as they came from the tree—hand-sorted, with no added fragrances, and in weights suitable for daily use and special occasions.

How to choose the right type?

  • Color: The whiter, light-greenish, and more transparent the tear, the higher the grade.
  • Size: Large, firm tears are better than small fragments.
  • Scent: Authentic Hojari has a fresh, acidic scent tending towards lemon and pine—not a sweet, artificial smell.

What's the difference between our types?

Pure Hojari for hospitality and luxurious use, Luban Dhakar (Male Frankincense) for daily burning, Najdi with harder tears from the Najd plateaus of Dhofar, Dhofari with a deeper note, and Royal, Sultanic, and Luxurious in 130, 250, and 500-gram weights for those who want a larger quantity at a better price per gram.

How to Use

Place one or two tears on lit charcoal or an electric burner at medium heat. High heat burns the frankincense and diminishes its scent. For storage: an airtight glass container away from sun and humidity.
