Collection: Frankincense Oils and Extracts

Frankincense oil is extracted by steam distillation from Omani Hojari frankincense tears, and a large quantity of tears is needed to produce a small amount of oil — which is why its price is much different from raw frankincense.

Which oil is right for you?

  • Pure Essential Oil (100%): Very concentrated and not used directly on the skin. For diffusers, or diluted in a carrier oil at a ratio of a few drops per tablespoon.
  • Diluted Oil: Ready for direct use on hair, skin, and for massage; pre-diluted with natural carrier oils.
  • Hojari Frankincense Oil: Extracted specifically from Hojari grade, which is the highest purity in our selection.

How to check for quality?

Genuine oil is clear to slightly yellowish, and its scent is citrusy-resinous, not sweet. Very cheap oil is often diluted or reconstituted. Always check the dilution ratio and volume before comparing prices.

Precautions

Undiluted essential oil should not be used on the skin or internally. Keep out of reach of children, and store in a dark bottle away from heat. For pregnant women or those with sensitive skin: consult your doctor before use.
